The cabin

The Cabin at Seaview

On a recent trip to Skye, inspired by the atmospheric landscape I started writing poetry.

Today, on National Poetry Day, I’ve decided to share my first poem.

The Cabin at Seaview

One minute shrouded in cloud, the next clear.

Lush greens.

Shades of grey.

Mist softens the edges of hills and houses.

Swifts swoop and play in the hollows.

The only sound the pitter-patter of rain.

Soft then hard.
